Brand New Series: E4 is continuing the channel's investment in originated drama with a slick brand new six-part drama series from the makers of Life On Mars . Nearly Famous follows a group of students who've got talent, a taste for tequila, and a whole load of angst that make the average teenager's life seem easy. The difference is these guys have earned a place at a top London school for performing arts and they have just one chance to prove they've got what it takes to make it. In tonight's opening episode, as the Salinger school for the Performing Arts begins a new year, four freshers have problems fitting in with their new classmates. Among them are Lila (Talulah Riley), a writer with a mother who's mentally ill, Joe (Tunji Kasim) a lighting and sound technician who's ostracized for being a geek; Kate, (Anna Brewster) an actor with famous connections; and Owen, (Aaron Johnson) a musician who finds himself opposite his nemesis, Cal.
